How Fieldr works

Fieldr is an inbound-first dispatcher. Customers reach out to your business the way they always have — by texting or calling your published business number — and an AI assistant responds on your behalf within seconds.

  1. 1

A customer texts or calls your number

Your business publishes a single phone number on your website, ads, and truck wraps. Every inbound message and call routes through DispatchAI.

  2. 2

    The AI dispatcher replies

DispatchAI greets the customer, confirms the service area, and asks the qualifying questions a great front-desk dispatcher would: name, address, symptoms, urgency, preferred time window.

  3. 3

    The job is booked

Once enough information is collected, DispatchAI proposes available time slots from your calendar and confirms the appointment. You and your tech get a notification with the full conversation context.

  4. 4

    You stay in control

Every conversation is logged in your dashboard. You can take over a thread at any time, set business hours, configure pricing guardrails, and escalate emergencies (gas leaks, no-heat in winter) directly to a human.

SMS consent and compliance

Fieldr only sends SMS in response to customers who have initiated contact with your business. We do not send marketing broadcasts, cold outreach, or purchased lead campaigns. Every contractor is registered under A2P 10DLC before going live.

Consent disclosure

On a customer's first inbound message, the dispatcher includes the following disclosure as part of its reply:

“Hi, this is the Fieldrdispatcher for [Contractor]. By replying, you agree to receive automated responses to schedule service. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”

Opt-out

Replying STOP immediately ends automated messaging and unsubscribes the number from any future automated outreach. Replying HELPreturns the contractor's contact information and a link to this page.

Message frequency

Frequency varies by conversation — typically 2–6 messages per scheduling exchange, plus optional appointment reminders within 24 hours of the visit. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on the customer's carrier plan.
